Fall 2010

We recently completed the offices of the new Arrillaga Family Gymnasium located in Menlo Park.  The scope of work included a combination of private offices, a conference room, lounge seating and a custom reception station.  With the help from the city, we came up with creative ways to create a modern feel while staying under budget.  For more images, click here.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy the lavish atmosphere of the newly installed Santa Clara University Benson Center Dining Hall.  Construction was completed in September 2010 in just 12 weeks.  This project was lead by a diligent management team in Santa Clara University’s Auxiliary Services with the guidance of BAR Architects.  Blach Construction carried out the vision Auxiliary Services intended.   Lead by Auxiliary Services creative design POD provided furniture solutions unique to campus dining.  We combined the warmth of wood with the strength of metal, along with the appeal of beautiful fabrics for the most of the seating areas.  The stools and high tables border the Market Square in defining space between dining and meal preparation, while the booths and banquettes offer comfortable collaboration for classmates and friends.  To view more photos click here.

Creative workspaces for creative people.   Recently, we concluded a successful corporate office project in Menlo Park, CA, consisting of 6 "dog-bone" shaped workspaces and 5 hotel workstations.  Working with our client we created a more interesting design offering more collaboration, while being cost efficient.  We also designed the lobby waiting area utilizing a contemporary line of furniture to match the trend setting "attitude" of this forward thinking company.  We carried over this idea into the break area with a couple of sleek looking white laminate tables and white polypropylene chairs giving a clean, contemporary look.  What made this project enjoyable was working with their creative team.  Each time we met we continued to unfold the image they were looking for.  To view more photos click here.

Summer 2010

Pacific Office Designs was given a wonderful opportunity to take this project from  schematic design and provide not only layouts and specifications, furniture, delivery and installation, but also interior design as well.  Our designer worked closely with ROC in selecting paint and finish schemes for their interiors that matched up beautifully with the furniture fabrics and finishes.  We provided furniture for all areas, including reception/lobby, boardroom, meeting rooms, breakrooms, open office space and closed offices.  The boardroom table and credenza were designed with quarter sawn natural walnut. Our vendor selects their own logs and lays-up the veneers in-house.  With a striking steel blue wall we blended an elegant black/blue knit fabric for the futuristic conference seating giving an updated classic look.  We also specified and supplied furniture for their university training facility.  Please enjoy these photos and let us know how we may assist you in providing your employees a productive and delightful work space.  To view more photos click here.

We are excited to announce the completion of installation of the Munger Graduate Residences at Stanford University. This was a twenty-one month project we managed from the design phase through, specifications, procurement and installation. We developed a unique bid process helping Stanford University Housing in selecting the best manufacturers available, to ensure the integrity of their design while saving the university 18% from their furniture budget. The vendors selected were asked to use their most trend-setting designs to produce high-end luxury apartment furniture.

Pacific Office Designs not only provided furniture for all of the 600 bedrooms but also for the 358 living and dining room spaces, more than a dozen lobbies in all five buildings, the Great Dining Hall, and Café.

Please visit the Stanford University Law School website to view their most recent images of this most innovative campus living environment.
